Powerful Prayer For God’s Favor
Heavenly Father,
We come before You today humbly asking for Your divine favor. In the midst of the challenges and opportunities we face, we seek the fullness of Your grace to surround us.
Your Word says that You are the God who goes before us, opening up pathways, granting wisdom, and setting the stage for success and blessings in our lives.
Lord, help us to walk in alignment with Your will, that we may position ourselves under the outpouring of Your favor. May our actions, thoughts, and conversations be pleasing in Your sight.
Lord, we ask for the favor that comes from Your hand alone, favor in the eyes of You and man, as You granted to Joseph, Daniel, and Esther in the Scriptures.
Give us favor in our work, with our families, friends, and in our communities. May our lives be like trees planted by the water, bearing fruit in due season.
We pray that whatever we do prospers, not for our glory but for Yours. For You are the source of all good things, and every perfect gift comes from You.
Let Your favor cause our names to be remembered with kindness, and may Your blessings be evident to all.
We trust in Your Word which says that You will establish the work of our hands. Therefore, we commit our plans, our dreams, and our goals into Your trustworthy hands.
We pray for the favor that precedes breakthrough, that even now, You are working behind the scenes on our behalf.
We believe and declare that Your favor is our shield and that Your generous Spirit will lead us on level ground.
In Jesus’ name, we pray, Amen.
Use this prayer along with the Prayer points for favour and open doors.

Where In The Bible Does It Say God Will Open Doors
There’s a really encouraging passage in the Bible, found in Revelation 3:8, which says, “I know your deeds. See, I have placed before you an open door that no one can shut. I know that you have little strength, yet you have kept my word and have not denied my name.”
It’s like God is saying He’s seen all the hard work and faithfulness and, as a result, He’s opening up great opportunities that no one can take away.
It’s such a comforting thought that God rewards our steadfast dedication to Him with His unshakeable promises.
And then, there’s this gem in Proverbs 3:5-6, where it goes, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.”
It’s a lovely reminder that when we give our trust to God and follow His lead, He’s going to clear the way for us and guide us right where we need to be.

How Do I Provoke God’s Favor
Provoking God’s favor isn’t about manipulating God into granting us blessings; it’s more about aligning our lives with His will and principles so that we’re positioned to receive the blessings He already wants to give us.
Here are some biblically accurate ways to live in a manner that is consistent with receiving God’s favor.
Use them along with the Prayer points for favour and open doors.
- Obey God’s Commands:
- Deuteronomy 28:1-2 states, “If you fully obey the Lord your God and carefully follow all his commands I give you today, the Lord your God will set you high above all the nations on earth. All these blessings will come on you and accompany you if you obey the Lord your God.”
- Obedience to God’s Word shows our trust and reverence for Him.
- Seek God with Your Whole Heart:
- Jeremiah 29:13 says, “You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.”
- A genuine, whole-hearted pursuit of God draws His presence and favor.
- Walk in Humility:
- James 4:6 reminds us, “God opposes the proud but shows favor to the humble.”
- Humility isn’t thinking less of ourselves; it’s thinking of ourselves less and God more.
- Pray for Favor:
- Philippians 4:6: “Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.”
- Asking God for His favor is a form of humility and dependence on Him.
- Be Generous and Ready to Share:
- Proverbs 11:25: “A generous person will prosper; whoever refreshes others will be refreshed.”
- Generosity opens the door for God’s favor not only on us but also through us.
- Practice Righteousness and Justice:
- Psalm 106:3: “Blessed are those who act justly, who always do what is right.”
- God’s favor rests on those who live out His values of justice and righteousness.
- Keep Faith During Trials:
- James 1:12: “Blessed is the one who perseveres under trial because, having stood the test, that person will receive the crown of life that the Lord has promised to those who love him.”
- Enduring trials with faith can position us for increased favor.
- Love and Serve Others:
- John 13:34-35: “A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another.”
- Demonstrating God’s love to others can attract His favor upon us.
Remember, God’s favor isn’t earned by works; it’s a gift of grace through faith.
Living in accordance with God’s principles is about being in the right place, with the right heart, to receive what God freely gives.
