Hard times in life will come and no one is exempt from its grasp. We all are hurting or will face a hard life trial at some point in our lives. It’s somewhat comforting to know we aren’t alone in these hard times in life.

God has a plan to redeem and make all things right. He uses and has a purpose for these hard times and offers His hope! He is working out His will, His purpose through the pain.

We have this gift of Bible Verses about Hope in hard times. Yes, it’s a gift. Even the hard time itself is a gift from God. No one likes to hear that. I didn’t when I was walking through the most painful of times in my own life, but looking back I’m thankful. Thankful because it brought me to my knees before God and it changed me.

Hard times in life have a way of dropping us to our knees before God and if we allow it, God will use this to mold us to be who He wants us to be. But in my human stubbornness, if it takes me walking through storms of life to stay on my knees before God than my prayer is Lord bring the rain.

How Do You Get Hope In Hard Times?

By clinging to God’s word. There isn’t a magic solution when life gets hard. We do our best, make the best decisions we can, we grieve, we struggle and we cling to God and His word like never before.

Allow God’s word to fill your mind and heart every day. Read God’s Word, study His Word, and memorize His Word.

Praise and Worship also help fill our hearts with hope when going through a hard time. There’s something about music that can bring us further down into depression or lift our spirits and fill our hearts for joy. Be careful what you listen to.

Worry is a cycle of inefficient thoughts whirling around a center of fear.

What does The Bible say About Life Struggles?

Ligonier says this, “The Christian life is a life that embraces the sacrament of baptism, which signifies, among other things, that we are baptized into the death, humiliation, and the afflictions of Jesus Christ. We are warned in Scripture that if we are not willing to embrace those afflictions, then we will not participate in Jesus’ exaltation. The Christian faith baptizes a person not only into pain, but also into the resurrection of Christ. Whatever pain we experience in this world may be acute, but it is always temporary. In every moment that we experience the anguish of suffering, there beats in our hearts the hope of heaven — that evil and pain are temporary and are under the judgment of God, the same God who gave a promise to His people that there will be a time when pain will be no more. The privatio and the negatio will be trumped by the presence of Christ.”

Not only this, but we also rejoice in sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, and endurance, character, and character, hope.

Romans 5:3-4

Now if we are children, then we are heirs—heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ, if indeed we share in his sufferings in order that we may also share in his glory. I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us.

Romans 8:17-18

What Is A Good Bible Verse For Encouragement?

There are so many encouraging bible verses it’s so hard to choose just one. Here are a few of my personal favorites.

For I am the Lord your God, the one who takes hold of your right hand, who says to you, ‘Don’t be afraid, I am helping you.’

Isaiah 41:13 NET

There is something that deeply comforts my heart knowing God holds my hand and is personally telling me, His daughter, to not be afraid and that He is helping me. And He tells you this same thing. Just let that sink deeply into your heart for a moment.

My hand made them; that is how they came to be,” says the Lord. I show special favor to the humble and contrite, who respect what I have to say.

Isaiah 66:2 NET

The NKJV of Isaiah 66:2 says who trembles at my Word. We are blessed to be able to have different Bible translations at our fingertips. This Bible verse encourages me as it is a reminder that God is in control, He made everything and He will look with favor on those who are humble and tremble at His Word.

For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Romans 8:38-39

What an amazing reminder of God’s love and that nothing can separate us from this love. The creator of this universe, the King of kings, and our saviour and loving Father in heaven loves us so much and nothing can separate us from that love. That is something to remind ourselves of every day!
