I did some digging around and in the old testament it’s mentioned 71 times, but in the KJV there is 151 Bible verses on thankfulness, according to stillfaith.

Over and over again we see not only examples of having a thankful heart in hard times, but also the encouragement to be disciplined in having a thankful heart in all things.

Is it easy? Most new habits take time and if healing needs to happen it can be a rollercoaster, but if we are consistent we can develop a habit of being content and thankful in and out of every season.

 I am not saying this because I am in need, for I have learned to be content whatever the circumstances. I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want. I can do all this through him who gives me strength.
