This woman who had been suffering from a bleeding disorder for twelve years came to Jesus for healing. She had faith that Jesus could heal her, and she was not afraid to touch him even though she was considered unclean. Jesus healed her, and she was overjoyed.
3. The Syrophoenician woman prayed for her daughter’s healing and Jesus healed her (Mark 7:24-30).
The Syrophoenician woman was a non-Jew who came to Jesus asking for healing for her daughter. Even though Jesus was initially reluctant to help her, he eventually did heal her daughter. This story teaches us that even though we may not be part of God’s chosen people, we can still pray to him and he will hear our prayers.
Do you think Mary and Martha prayed for their dead brother Lazarus? Jesus raised him from the dead (John 11:1-44).
The sisters of Lazarus, Mary and Martha, were close friends with Jesus. Do you think they prayed for their brother when he was ill? They had faith that God would heal him and they asked Jesus to come and help. Lazarus died, but Jesus raised him from the dead and he was healed.
Lydia is named as a worshiper of God. She prayed that she and her household would be able to worship God and they were baptized (Acts 16:13-15).

Please give me the wisdom and the words to pray more effectively. Help me to focus when I pray, and to really listen when you answer. I know that you hear all our prayers, but sometimes I feel like my prayers are just bouncing off the ceiling.
