Feeling rejected can be so hard, and make you feel alone in this world. I am sure more often than not we can admit that we have felt rejected at some point in our lives. See below my list of Bible Verses on feeling rejected.
Your husband has declared he doesn’t want you anymore?
You got looked over for that promotion?
You didn’t get asked to go and do something when everyone else did?
Feeling like you don’t fit in, and so on?
No matter the reason of being rejected, it can create a lot of hurt and make us feel unlovable, unwanted and rejected. Just one time of being rejected, and it can cause us to create a wall and allow our minds to think we are unwanted and no one will accept us.
The fear of being rejected can create a weakness within us, and we have to make sure to not get in the mindset of being afraid because we won’t fit in, or that people will make fun of us!
What is the Biblical Definition of Rejection
Rejection and Abandonment: The original meaning of the word rejection was to throw back. Rejection occurs when a person or group of people excludes an individual and refuses to acknowledge or accept them. Abandonment is a similar term, meaning to desert someone, to leave and never return. – Biblical Counseling Database
When we use God’s word as a shield to the hurtful things people say, it will start to strengthen our emotional and spiritual health. Use God’s Word to build up your faith and trust in the Lord.
We start knowing and believing that the rejection of others has no meaning or power on our true identity! Just trust and know your worth in the word of God, and those fears and feelings of rejection will begin to slip away.
Speak these verses over your life, and trust and know they are truth, and be set free from the feelings of rejection!

How do Christians deal with rejection?
Don’t take it personally, Pray for those that reject you, Assess their motives, Reconsider your methods or intentions, and Ask for God’s help and timing. Remember human rejection might just be God’s divine intervention.
So what is the biblical and godly response to these feelings of rejection? God gives us many promises to turn to and comfort us in times of loneliness. But he also commands us to be content in all circumstances.
As Paul writes in Philippians 4, he ‘learnt’ how to be content in all circumstances. Paul knew a great deal of rejection, much more than many of us will ever face. It helps me to remember this as I know not getting an invitation to a friend’s party would’ve been one of Paul’s smaller concerns. – Christianity Today
