I’m a single mom. I feel like my whole adult life has been one large trial that has forced me on my knees before God. I’ve had to trust God through the heartbreak of a broken marriage, and divorce, and now as a single mom who is raising two teenagers.

It involves taking comfort from the knowledge that He will always be there to lead us when we are lost and that He will always be with us in our darkest hours.
In order to trust God, one must acknowledge His love and kindness and have faith that He will always work in our best interests.

When we trust God, we are putting our faith in Him. We are saying that we believe that He is who He says He is, and that He can do what He says He can do.
We are also saying that we are willing to follow Him, even when we don’t understand His plan.
Trusting God can be scary sometimes, because it means that we are giving up our own control and placing our lives in His hands.
But it is also incredibly rewarding, because we know that He will never let us down. He will always be there for us, and He will always love us.

- We are blessed with goodness because we know God is good and His plans for us are always good.
- We are blessed with faithfulness; knowing that God is faithful and will never abandon or forsake us strengthens our faith.
- We are blessed with gentleness because we know that God is gentle and loving and will never make us do anything we don’t want to do.
- We are blessed with self-control because we know that God gives us the strength to control our thoughts, emotions, and actions and that we can always rely on Him to keep us on track.

Bible Stories About Trusting God
The Bible is full of stories about people who trusted God, even when things looked hopeless.
One of my favorite stories is the story of Abraham and Sarah.
Abraham was an old man, and Sarah was well past the age of childbearing. But God promised them that they would have a son, and they believed Him.
Even when it seemed impossible, they trusted that God would keep His promise. And He did! They had a son, Isaac, and their faith was rewarded.
Oh, and another great story of trusting God was the woman with the issue of blood. She was desperate for healing! She was financially broke from the years of seeking medical care with no cure in sight.

These stories are a great reminder that we can always trust God, no matter what. He is always faithful, and He always keeps His promises. When we trust Him, even in the midst of difficulties, we will always be blessed.

The Power Of Trusting God
The power of trusting God is often underestimated. Too often, we focus on our own limitations, our own fears, and what we can or cannot do.
We forget that with God, all things are possible. When we trust God, we are tapping into a limitless source of power and strength. Even on the hard days, we can trust God will see us through.
We are no longer limited by our own strength and abilities, but by the power of God working in us and through us.
When we trust God, we are putting our faith in Him above the storms of life. We are saying that we believe He is who He says He is, and that He is capable of doing what He says He can do. We stand on the promises of God.
We are placing our confidence in Him, and He will not let us down. He will never leave us or forsake us. He is always faithful, even when we are not. I’m so thankful for this truth! Aren’t you?
When we trust God, we are opening ourselves up to His blessings. We are saying that we are willing to receive whatever He has for us, good or bad. And remember, even the hard things will be used for our good. (Romans 8:28)
We know that He only wants what is best for us, and we trust Him to provide for all our needs and guide us through whatever life throws our way. I simply couldn’t do this life with out Him. It’s simply too hard on my own.
Trusting God is not always easy, but it is always worth it.
When we trust God, we are putting our faith in the one who is truly worthy of it all. He is worthy of our love and praise.

Psalm On Trusting God
Psalm 56:3-4
When I am afraid, I put my trust in you. In God, whose word I praise, in God I trust; I shall not be afraid. What can flesh do to me?

He is not afraid of bad news; his heart is firm, trusting in the Lord.
I love reading David’s prayers in the book of Psalms. David is clearly trusting in God throughout Psalms. Even when faced with difficult times and challenges, David knows that God will be there for him.
This trust is evident in the way David speaks about God, always using positive and loving language.
It is also clear in the way David prays, always asking for God’s help and guidance. Yet, he is very real and honest with God about what’s going on and the hardship he is facing.
This trust is ultimately based on David’s faith in God’s society, goodness, and love.
Even when everything else seems to be falling apart, David knows that they can always trust in God.

Abba Father,
I am so grateful for your love and care. I know that you are always with me, even when I don’t feel like you are. I am struggling to trust you right now, but I know that you are good and that you have a plan for me and this situation.
I know that you will never leave me or forsake me. What is it you want me to learn? Thank you for being my Rock and my Fortress. Help me to trust in You no matter what I face. I love you and I need you, Lord. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
