So, I started a habit: every morning, I’d read one verse from the Bible, my “Good Morning Verses.” Initially odd, it soon became as vital as my morning coffee, rejuvenating my heart and spirit.

These verses became my daily inspiration, like when I shared my sandwich with a classmate or found patience during a hard math test.

Now, these verses illuminate my path, making me happier, calmer, and more in tune with those around me.

Father God, I thank You for this new day. Your mercies are new every morning, and I am grateful for Your unfailing love and faithfulness (Lamentations 3:22-23).

Lord, guide my steps today. May Your Word be a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path (Psalm 119:105). Fill me with Your Holy Spirit so that I may bear the fruits of love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control (Galatians 5:22-23).

Help me to love others as You have loved me (John 13:34) and to serve with a humble heart. Guard my mind and my tongue, and let me speak words that build up and encourage (Ephesians 4:29).

In every challenge I face, remind me that You are with me, that I am not alone, and that in You, I find strength and peace (Isaiah 41:10). Help me to cast all my anxieties on You, knowing You care for me (1 Peter 5:7).

May everything I do today bring glory to Your name (1 Corinthians 10:31). Bless my endeavors, interactions, and the people I encounter today.

In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
