Prayer For Knowledge
Heavenly Father,
In the light of Your wisdom, we seek knowledge. Your Word says in James 1:5, “If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given him.”
Lord, we humbly ask for this wisdom and knowledge, not for our glory but to better understand Your will and Your ways.
As Proverbs 2:6 tells us, “For the Lord gives wisdom; from his mouth come knowledge and understanding.”
May our hearts be open to the knowledge You generously impart. Help us to discern truth and gain understanding.
Guide us, O Lord, as we navigate through the complexities of life. Just as Solomon asked for an understanding mind in 1 Kings 3:9, so do we seek an understanding heart to judge Your people and to discern between good and evil.
May our pursuit of knowledge lead us closer to You, reflecting the heart of Christ, who grew in wisdom and stature, as Luke 2:52 reminds us. Let our learning be a path to loving You more and serving others better.
