What Is Grace
Grace is undeserved favor. If grace were not an unmerited favor and a characteristic of God’s intellect, heart, and nature, none of us would be saved.
Grace is not merely a trait, an attribute, or an inclination of God; grace is also an influence, a force, a power, or an acting of God which works in us to alter our capacity for labor, suffering, and obedience.
And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that having all sufficiency in all things at all times, you may abound in every good work.
2 Corinthians 9:8 ESV
Why Is Grace Important
When God grants us forgiveness and eternal life—things we do not deserve—that is grace. But only by placing your trust in Jesus Christ can grace flow.
Grace is not something we can acquire by first putting our lives in order. Not excellent people, but sinners are the ones whom Jesus came to redeem.
We must declare spiritual bankruptcy before we can be freed from that obligation. You obtain grace when you accept Jesus!
Grace is important because it is our way to God, to salvation, to heaven and to adoption into God’s family.
For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast.
Ephesians 2:8-9

Growing In Grace Meaning In The Bible
I really like how GotQuestions puts this, “To grow in grace does not mean gaining more grace from God. God’s grace never increases; it is infinite, it cannot be more, and according to the nature of God, it could never be less. He gave His only Son so that whoever believes in Him should be saved (John 3:16). How much more grace could there possibly be than that? But to grow in grace is to grow in our understanding of what Jesus did and to grow in our appreciation of the grace we have been given. The more we learn about Jesus, the more we will appreciate all He has done, and the more we appreciate His love and sacrifice for us, the more we will perceive the never-ending grace of God.”

How Do You Grow In Grace
We are only able to turn from our sin and receive God’s grace and forgiveness via the power of the Holy Spirit.
We develop in God’s mercy through the sanctification, or maturing, process of being made holy from the beginning.
Life’s highs and lows, its pleasant moments and its painful ones, can all be used to develop our grace. It takes time, but God is faithful.
We have the opportunity to grow in grace when we are wounded by others. Although being hurt is surely an unpleasant experience, Jesus is able to use it for our benefit.
He can help us heal from our hurt while also giving us the strength to treat others with grace. The more we let him into our suffering, the more he can help us grow in grace.
Grace is something we learn to do most often; it’s not merely something we do occasionally.
One requires the strength of God, patience, and endurance to keep moving forward in it. If we walk daily with Jesus, it will happen as a result of our friendship with him.
Types Of Grace
Here are 4 types of grace: saving grace, sanctifying grace, justifying grace, and redemptive grace. Each type of grace plays an important role in our relationship with God, our salvation and growing in grace.
Saving grace is God’s unmerited favor and love for us. It is the grace that leads us to repent of our sins and turn to God.
Sanctifying grace is the grace that enables us to grow in holiness and become more like Christ. Justifying grace is the grace that forgives our sins and makes us right with God.
Redemptive grace is the grace that enables us to share in Christ’s redemption of the world. All of these types of grace are given to us by God’s grace and work together to help us grow in our relationship with God.
Grace is a quality of God that is manifested in His mercy and forgiveness.
Others describe grace as a divine influence or action of God that enables humans to respond to Him.
Still others describe grace as unmerited favor, or God’s favor shown to us even though we don’t deserve it.
Which of these definitions is correct? All of them are, to some extent. The Bible tells us that God is full of grace (Ephesians 2:8). He is the God of grace, all grace.
His grace is manifested in His mercy, as He is slow to anger and quick to forgive (Psalm 103:8).
His grace also enables us to respond to Him, as He gives us the desire and the ability to do His will (Philippians 2:13).
And finally, His grace is unmerited favor, as He gives us good things even though we don’t deserve them (Romans 5:8).
So what does all this mean for us? It means that we can approach God with confidence, knowing that He is full of grace.
We can ask for His mercy and forgiveness, knowing that He is willing to give it.
We can seek His will for our lives, knowing that He will give us the desire and the ability to do it.
And we can rest in His unmerited favor, knowing that He will bless us even when we don’t deserve it.
God give Grace Upon Grace and I am so very thankful!

The benefits of growing in grace are many and varied. One of the most important benefits is that it helps us to become more Christ-like in our daily lives.
As we grow in grace, we learn to follow Christ’s example more closely and to imitate His life and character.
This Christ-like living has a profound impact on our own lives and the lives of those around us. It brings us closer to God and helps us to better understand and apply His Word to our lives.
As we grow in grace, we also become more effective witnesses for Christ, sharing His love and truth with those around us.
My Grace Is Sufficient For You
As you work on growing in grace remember that God is enough. His grace is sufficient for you in all things.
But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.
2 Corinthians 12:9
How to Grow in Grace No Matter What You Face
No matter what you face in life, you can grow in grace. The Bible is full of stories of people who faced difficult situations and came out stronger because of their faith. You can too.

Or study the book of Esther. And orphan girl, raised by an uncle and forced into the kings harem. God saw her through and through her God saved her people.
When you feel like you can’t go on, remember that God is with you. He will never leave you or forsake you. Trust in Him, and He will help you through whatever you’re facing.
Pray for strength and wisdom, and ask God to help you grow in grace. Read His Word and let it fill you with hope and encouragement. Spend time with other believers and let them lift you up.
No matter what you’re facing, you can grow in grace. Trust God, rely on His strength, and He will help you through anything.
Growing In Grace Prayer
Dear Lord,
We come to you today with humble hearts, seeking your grace and mercy. We know that we are sinners, and we are not worthy of your love and forgiveness. But we ask that you would extend your grace to us, and help us to turn away from our sinfulness. We want to live our lives for you, and we know that we can’t do it without your help.
So we ask that you would give us the strength to overcome our sinful nature, and to live for you. We know that your grace is sufficient for us, and that your power is made perfect in weakness. So we ask that you would help us to be weak, so that your power can shine through us. We pray that you would use us for your glory, and that we would bring you honor and praise.
We thank you for your grace, and we praise you for your mercy. We love you, Lord, and we pray that you would bless us and keep us, and make your face to shine upon us. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
