3 Rs To Help You Get Unstuck And Move Forward In Life

Life has a way of bringing us to our knees, doesn’t it? We’ve all had those moments when it feels like we’re stuck in a rut, unable to move forward.

But here’s the good news: even in our hardest times, God is right there with us, ready to help us get unstuck and step into the freedom He has for us.

Today, I want to share a simple, three-step approach that has been a lifeline for me and many other women.

It’s all about Rest, Regroup, and Restart.

Rest: Pause and Reflect

First, we need to rest. This might sound counterintuitive when you feel stuck, but it’s so important. Take a moment to pause and honestly look at what’s going on in your life. Acknowledge your feelings, your struggles, and your responsibilities. This isn’t about beating yourself up; it’s about seeing your situation clearly and with compassion. Matthew 11:28 says, “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” Let’s lean into that promise and allow ourselves a moment to breathe.

Regroup: Pray and Seek God’s Guidance

Next, it’s time to regroup. In this step, we turn to God in prayer, asking for His help, deliverance, and guidance. Philippians 4:6 encourages us, “Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.” Pour out your heart to Him. Let Him carry your burdens and show you the way forward. When we seek His face, He is faithful to respond.

Restart: Plan Your Next Steps

Finally, we restart. After resting and seeking God’s guidance, it’s time to plan your next steps. These steps should honor God and be realistic for your situation. Proverbs 16:9 tells us, “In their hearts, humans plan their course, but the Lord establishes their steps.” Write down a simple plan, commit it to prayer, and take one small step at a time.
