Ways to Help Calm Anxiety
#1 Pray! It may seem simple but it’s powerful!! Pray the scriptures over your life!! Pray that Your feelings and emotions be those that God wants you to have. Pray for the Holy Spirit to comfort you and guide you. Pray that your flesh submit to the Holy Spirit. Pray the Armor of God over yourself. Ephesians 6:10-18
#2 Read God’s Word everyday!! It renews our mind and is sharper than any sword. ! Hebrews 4:12
#3 Praise God. Even when you don’t feel like it. It’s a sacrifice of praise. Crank that praise n worship music up and see how it lifts the mood!
#4 Go for a walk. The fresh air and exercise is amazing for you.
#5 Get some sunshine. A lack of vitamin D plays an affect on our moods. The Dr has my friend on Vitamin D to help him. His levels stay low and it makes him feel down.
#6 Drink plenty of water. Water helps keep everything flowing and working properly. We aren’t at our best when dehydrated.
#7 Laugh! Watch a funny movie or video. Laughter is good for the soul. Proverbs 17:22
#8 Talk to a friend. Having someone you can talk to that will affirm your feeling yet point you to Christ and God’s word is the best friend to keep around you during those hard days.
#9 Plenty of Sleep. Making sure you are getting plenty of sleep is so important. I know personally, if I’m not getting my sleep, I’m more easily overwhelmed.
