Praying On The Armor Of God Printable
A couple of years ago, my kids and I created a “Praying on the Armor of God” table for our church’s trunk-or-treat event. It was a humble effort to help others, especially children, understand what the Bible teaches about praying on the armor of God.
We set up the table so kids and parents could read the passage of scripture and interact with various helmets, swords, breastplates, shields, and knives—all plastic, of course, but made to look real.
The kids had so much fun and, more importantly, learned what it means to put on the armor of God.

Bible Verses About The Armor Of God
There is an enemy. He is against you. He plans to do anything in his power to mess with you and your life.
That’s why Paul tells us to stand firm, put on the Armor of God and PRAY!
Armor Of God Women, let us rise up and pray together!
The first step in knowing how praying on the armor of God works is by knowing what the Bible says about the Armor of God.
Let’s read the following passage of scripture to know what the bible says about the armor of God.
The Armor of God 10 Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. 11 Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. 12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. 13 Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. 14 Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, 15 and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. 16 In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. 17 Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. 18 And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. Paul says if you are going to defeat the enemy and persevere through hard times you need to be putting on the Full Armor of God daily. The whole book of Ephesians is a great read. Highly Recommend!
What Are The 7 Pieces Of The Armor Of God
What does the full armor of God represent? I’ve done some research and found several resources that explain the Armor of God and what each piece does.
1. Belt Of Truth – God’s truth is our foundation. Just as a Roman soldier’s belt held their weapon, God’s Word holds our faith. 2 Timothy 3:16 says, “All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness.”
2. Breastplate Of Righteousness – Protects our hearts and ensures we live in integrity. It creates a lifestyle of righteousness and guards us from sin.
3. Feet Fitted With The Gospel Of Peace – Like Roman sandals that provided a firm foundation, the Gospel gives us peace and stability in all circumstances.
4. Shield Of Faith – Protects us from the devil’s attacks and helps us push back against lies. Faith, strengthened by Scripture, can extinguish the enemy’s arrows.
5. Helmet Of Salvation – Guards our minds with the assurance of salvation. By renewing our minds with God’s Word and prayer, we protect ourselves from deception.
6. Sword Of The Spirit – The Bible is both our offensive and defensive weapon. It helps us stand firm and fight against evil by knowing and declaring God’s truth.
7. Prayer – Paul emphasizes praying always. Prayer is how we put on and activate the armor of God, preparing us for spiritual battles and keeping us connected to God.
Remember, each piece of the armor is crucial for standing firm in faith and fighting against spiritual warfare.
How to pray on the Full Armor Of God:
How to put on the Armor Of God For Christian Women.
- Belt of Truth: Lord, help me to wrap myself in Your truth today, discerning right from wrong.
- Breastplate of Righteousness: Protect my heart, Lord, and help me live in integrity and righteousness.
- Shoes of the Gospel of Peace: Let me walk in Your peace and share Your love with others.
- Shield of Faith: Strengthen my faith to deflect the enemy’s attacks and trust in Your promises.
- Helmet of Salvation: Guard my mind, reminding me of my salvation through Christ.
- Sword of the Spirit: Equip me with Your Word to stand firm and proclaim Your truth.
- Prayer: Keep me connected to You, Lord, through constant prayer and dependence on Your strength.
- Amen.
Praying The Armor Of God
Heavenly Father,
Thank You for giving me the spiritual armor to fight against the dark forces of this world. Forgive my failures and help me repent quickly. I pray on Your belt of truth; help me read and study Your Word to recognize truth from lies. I pray on Your breastplate of righteousness; guard my heart and keep me from sinning.
Help me walk in integrity and truth, repenting from anything against You. May my feet wear the shoes of the Gospel of Peace, giving me peace and confidence in Your salvation, even in hard times.
Help me discern good from evil. I pray on the shield of faith; build my faith through Your Word and prayer. Let it shield me in painful times. I put on the helmet of salvation; help me walk in the joy and assurance of Your salvation.
May I always use the sword of the Spirit, Your Word. Draw me to it daily so I may know and understand Your will. Help me make prayer and reading Your Word a top priority. Create a hunger in me for studying Your Word and spending time with You in prayer.
With Your help, Lord, I stand suited in the armor of God. May it protect me and enable me to overcome every spiritual battle I face today. I love You, Lord.

Is Prayer Part Of The Armor Of God
Prayer is such an essential part of the Full Armor of God! It’s how we connect with God and gain the strength we need to face spiritual battles.
In Ephesians 6:18, Paul tells us to “pray in the Spirit on all occasions.” This reminds us to stay alert and pray for each other, seeking God’s guidance and protection.
Prayer helps us focus on God’s truth and promises, putting on His armor to stand strong. It’s also how we wield the sword of the Spirit, declaring God’s truth over our lives and claiming victory in Jesus’ name.
Remember, through prayer, we can be strengthened and protected, no matter what challenges we face.
Armor Of God For Christian Women
As a young adult I was taught that praying on the Full Armor Of God was to pray on each piece of armor – literately, asking God to help me wear them and use them to get through the day. It’s really about living our lives as the bible calls us to. Living in God’s truth, guarding are hearts, repenting from sin, praying without ceasing, following God’s truth, etc.
Pursuitbible says this, “To put on the full armor of God is to apply all of the Gospel to all of your life. The whole armor is the expression of your full trust in God and what He has done for you through Jesus Christ. Your victory in spiritual warfare was secured at the cross of Christ and the blood that was shed there (Rev. 12:11).”

Full Armor Of God Prayer
Dear Heavenly Father,
I come before You today, recognizing I am in a spiritual battle. Help me put on the full armor of God to stand firm against the devil’s schemes.
I put on the belt of truth to live a life of honesty and integrity.
I wear the breastplate of righteousness to be pure and blameless in Your sight.
I put on the shoes of peace to bring Your love and compassion to those around me.
I take up the shield of faith to extinguish the fiery darts of the evil one and trust in Your promises.
