5 Christian Core Values

Are you curious what some of the Christian core values are? There are a number of core values that are important to Christians.

These include love, forgiveness, compassion, and faith. We as Christians believe that these values are essential to living a life that is pleasing to God.

Additionally, Christians often seek to live out these values in their interactions with others. Or at least they should. By doing so, we hope to demonstrate the love of Christ to those around them and be a positive influence in the world.

Importance Of Christian Values

Our Christian Core Values serve as a constant reminder of who we are as Christian women and what we stand for.

The warning found in Jeremiah 17:9 that “The heart is deceitful above all things and desperately sick; who can know it?” is well known to all.

When we know our core values and be determined to live by them we are setting ourselves up to live by God’s truth and wisdom.

The benefits of living by this wisdom is something money can not buy: moral integrity, healthy relationships, and stable life. Biblical values are the stepping stones to living the life God has called us to live.

What Are The 5 Christian Values

The five Christian values are faith, hope, love, forgiveness, and reconciliation. These values are at the heart of the Christian message and are essential for living a Christ-like life.

I pray these Christian principles help you live with your eyes focused on Jesus Christ.

FaithFaith is believing in something without seeing it. It is trusting in God even when we cannot see Him at work in our lives.

As a Christian, one of your core values should be faith. We grow in faith when we read the bible, study it and pray daily.

If you’re faithful to growing and deepening your faith, you’ll maintain your beliefs and strengthen your relationship with God. Even on the hard days.

That is the absolute foundation of your character.

So in order to be a person of deep faith, you need to be a person of prayer and of Bible study. God and the Bible are important parts of your Christian life, so you need to spend time in both.

Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.

Proverbs 3:5-6

Hope Hope is having confidence in the future and trusting that God will work everything out for our good.

As Christians, we are called to hope – to have a confident expectation in God and His promises. This hope is not wishful thinking or based on our circumstances; rather, it is a deep-rooted assurance that God is who He says He is and that He will do what He has promised.

When we have this hope, it gives us a sense of peace and confidence, even in the midst of trials and difficulties.

Hope is one of the core values of Christianity because it is based on God’s character and His Word – two things that are reliable and trustworthy.

May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope.

Romans 15:13

Love Love is one of the greatest of all the Christian values, because it is the very nature of God. It is an unselfish, sacrificial love that gives of itself without expecting anything in return.

Love is a core Christian value. Love is what motivates us to help others, to forgive, and to show compassion. Love is at the heart of everything we do as Christians. It is what drives us to be better people.

Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth. Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.

1 Corinthians 13:4-7

Forgiveness Forgiveness is letting go of anger and bitterness and choosing to forgive those who have wronged us.

Forgiveness is another important core value in Christianity. It is the act of pardoning someone for a wrong they have committed.

Forgiveness is an essential part of the Christian faith because it is an act of love and mercy. Christ himself forgave those who crucified him and we are called to follow his example.

Forgiveness is not always easy, but it is always worth it. It is a sign of wisdom, strength and humility to be able to forgive those who have wronged us.

When we forgive, we are showing that we are bigger than the hurt that has been inflicted upon us.

But, remember, forgiveness doesn’t always mean reconciliation. Read these Bible Verses on forgiveness.

Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you.

Colossians 3:13

Good Stewardship – The Bible calls us to be good stewards of all that God has entrusted to us. This includes our time, our talents, our resources, and our bodies. We are to use these things to glorify God and to serve others in love.

When we are good stewards, we are faithful with what we have been given. We don’t take shortcuts or take advantage of others.

We are honest in our dealings and we work hard. We are also generous, using our resources to help those in need.

Good stewardship is not just about taking care of what we have been given; it is also about developing and using our gifts and talents to their fullest potential.

We are to use our gifts to build up the body of Christ and to make a difference in the world.

Being a responsible steward is not always easy, but it is a vital part of our walk with Christ. As we seek to be good stewards, we can rest assured that God will bless us and use us to bless others.

Self care is sometimes doing the hards stuff like putting yourself on a strict budget.
